Now that things have settled down, the director comes over to ask this lively gentleman who he is. Our vigilante proclaims proudly that his is Jai Singh! This gives Renu (the actress. It's ages before her name is given, so I'll just start now.) the giggles, and she takes the director aside with an idea. They have a conspiratorial whisper session before the director lights up, declaring it to be a brilliant idea. He asks Jai if he can sing and dance, and Jai replies that he can. However, he doesn't want to do this just because the director tells him to. Renu politely asks Jai if he will dance for her, and he just can't say no to the lady! This leads us to the next song, "Tirche Topiwale."

Now, a note about this song (and please correct me if I'm mistaken): The whole opening and a large part of the percussion of this song are directly lifted from the Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine's song, "Rhythm is Gonna Get You" from the Let It Loose album. You'll know it when you hear it.
By the end of this truly bizarre number (involving among other things a large number of people in disturbing animal costumes) we can see that there are some sparks flying between Jai and Renu. We'll have to deal with those later, as things are happening in town!
We
cut to the police station where Karan is trying to whip this department into
shape. He flips through the reports from the last few months, and sees Jai
Singh's name all over the place. He asks why this man hasn't been brought in
yet. We'll have to find out later, as we have another jump cut to a safe
in a dark room being opened. We see some eyes, but it's not clear who this
is just yet. The intruder sorts through stacks of cash and jewelry but doesn't
take any of it. Instead he goes to the bed in the room and wakes up the man that
is sleeping in it. The man starts at the sight of someone in his room, and hits
the lights. Aha, we see it's our new friend Jai Singh!
Jai lets the man know that he's to behave himself, or else he'll meet with an untimely (and most likely unpleasant) demise. Jai demands to know where "Aunt Tera's" land documents have been hidden. The man says he'll give them to Jai, and reaches under the pillow next to him (naturally. Where do you keep your mortgage papers?). He produces some folded pieces of paper and hands them to Jai, who then tosses some keys to the man, then leaves.
We
go to the police station where the upset landlord is just arriving. He shouts
that he was robbed, and Karan tries to calm him down and find out what happened.
Instead of us listening to the explanation, we just go and see it for ourselves!
Jai Singh delivers the title papers to Aunt Tera, and tells her to celebrate her
daughter's wedding in grand style without worrying about what might happen to
her home. Aunt Tera is relieved and thanks Jai profusely.
Things are not all well and good, however. Karan shows up and tells Jai that he's got a court date to make for what he has done. Jai says that Karan must be new around here to not know that the landlord is a crook. There is some macho banter between the two of them for awhile, leading up to a fistfight when Jai resists arrest. Of note, this is one of the few hand-to-hand fights I've seen that takes place in the middle of a herd of cattle.
This fight goes on for about seven thousand years, featuring a lot of unnecessary flipping and improbable stunts, until both men end up in a small shed as the rest of the police force finally arrive. They point their rifles at the shed as we hear sounds of a vicious pummeling coming from within. The shed eventually collapses with both men inside.
Instead
of showing us what happened, we cut to the next day (What!?). Aunt Tera shows up
at the police station to clear this whole mess up. She tells Karan (oh, it looks
like he won the fight and arrested Jai, since he's in a holding cell. Might have
been nice to show us that, eh?) that Jai took the papers from the evil landlord
for her. She was tricked into putting her thumbprint on a blank paper that was
then doctored to be her title. She wanted to sell the land to pay for her
daughter's wedding, but Evil Landlord had some very nasty and nefarious ideas
for the daughter to do in order to get the title back. Jai was only doing the
noble thing and helping her family.
Evil Landlord shows up to claim his property, and compliments Karan on his bravery in apprehending such a dangerous man as Jai. Jai speaks up and warns Karan that if he gives those papers back to Evil Landlord, he will see to him the day he gets out of jail. Evil Landlord tells him to shut up, or else Karan will give him a thrashing. He then asks Karan for the papers so that he could be on his way. Karan instead lights the papers on fire, and tells him never to go to Aunt Tera's house again. Everyone except Evil Landlord is thrilled with Karan's apparent change of heart and many thanks are thrown about!
