Rukma
looks from side to side in the hopes that she can see who put the ball on the
road, but there's no one to be found. She carefully plods out to the ball, and
takes one more quick look around. Seeing nothing, she reaches down and takes the
ball. As she inspects it, we get a POV shot from a short distance away. The shot
rushes towards Rukma with a loud whooshing noise, and she goes flying off the
road, reeling from an unseen impact.
The ball comes to a rest after being flung from Rukma's hand, then it begins rolling along the path. It passes the fallen form of Rukma, and we can see she's sustained a lot of damage. She's bloody from her head to her foot, and is lying face down on the pavement. The ball continues rolling back towards the house, as we hear the sounds of a woman wailing in the night. We follow the ball as it goes all the way to the house, hops into an open window, and rolls through several rooms before crawling up the side of the cabinet that Radz had stashed it atop. When it reaches it's former place, it stops right next to the ghoulish form of Manish, who is perched on the cabinet.
Manish
looks across the room to another ghost. This is the adult woman spirit, whose
name hasn't been revealed yet. The woman then looks over at a young girl's
spirit, presumably Jyoti. Jyoti completes the visual roll call by looking over
at the adult male ghost. Seems as though this is a pretty crowded place.
Upstairs, we see Jhil sleeping restlessly. With the crashing storm outside and the knocking of the shutters, she finally awakens with a disturbed and confused look on her face. She rouses herself and heads downstairs. As they hear her approaching, the ghosts exchange some more glances. Not much comes of this, for as soon as Jhil reaches the atrium, they are all gone. Jhil secures the shutters that are making so much noise, then walks back towards the stairs. As she does, we see the woman spirit lurking out of her line of sight.
The other ghosts are making a night of it, as we cut up to Radz's room where Jyoti is standing right next to the bed, staring intently at Radz's face. In the parents' room, the male ghost is holding a vigil off to the side of the bed, watching Jhil and Virag sleep. Manish is guarding Rohan. A lingering shot of the Spooky Tree leads us out of this evening, and on to the next day.
A
police car is seen heading towards the house, with its red light blazing away.
It arrives at the house and the officers disembark. They go to the door and ring
the bell, but no one answers right away. Instead, we have an ominous POV shot
that tracks through a lot of the house before arriving at the front door. After
a quick DCL, the door opens and we see it's just Virag. He asks the officers
what happened, and they go inside.
They sit down to discuss the matter. Inspector Bhujbal tells them that Rukma's body was found, and they believe her death to be a result of a hit-and-run. The parents are shocked to hear that she is dead, and tell Bhujbal about the claims Rohan had made against her. Bhujbal brings out the items that were on Rukma at the time of her death, and a few of those items are belongings of the Rao's. Bhujbal also adds that in the course of the investigation, they've done some asking around in town if anyone had heard anything. One of the truck drivers told them that a woman had pushed a child in front of his vehicle earlier that day.
The
more Bhujbal tells them, the more ill Jhil looks. She excuses herself to go and
apologize to Rohan for not believing him earlier, and for bringing such a
terrible person to watch him. Bhujbal tells Virag that they're sure they'll
track down the responsible party, and they take their leave.
Upstairs, Jhil is cradling Rohan and talking about what happened. She asks Rohan if Rukma hurt him, and Rohan just says that he doesn't like Rukma. Jhil tells him that she doesn't either, and that she won't be coming to see him ever again.
We join Radz as she explains to Murli why she's not coming to school for a while. The tale of Rukma is explained in brief, so Radz has volunteered to look after Rohan for a while.
That means that Jhil will get to deal with Mr. Crazyman all by herself today!
