Rukma steps out into the hall and says loudly that Rohan is such a good boy, and so well-behaved. As she does this, she carefully checks the halls to see if anyone is nearby. When she sees the coast is clear, she begins looking for things to steal. She grabs a camera and some small figurines and hides them in her clothes before going back to the room to check on Rohan. When she enters the room, she is shocked to see that there are toys and clothes strewn all over the place, and Rohan is in the middle of it all having a big laugh.

Rukma asks him what happened in here, since we didn't hear anything coming from the room while she was stealing things in the hall. Rohan stops giggling long enough to tell her that Manish and Jyoti came to play and cause a big mess, just like she said they would. Rukma is weirded out for a minute, then gets a very cruel look on her face. She squats down next to Rohan, and asks him what he's talking about. He says nothing until she repeats the question, a bit more sternly. He tells her that Manish and Jyoti are still there, and are hiding under the bed. He points to where he says they are, and Rukma cautiously goes over to check under the bed.

As Rukma kneels next to the bed and prepares to lift the blankets, we see Rohan smiling at her and tossing the tennis ball back and forth between his hands. We see the perspective from under the bed as the covers are slowly lifted upwards, revealing Rukma's face looking under the bed. We cut back to the side of the bed, where the tennis ball goes rocketing into her cheek at very high velocity. The force of the impact is so great that Rukma falls over to her side. (I've highlighted the ball in the shot to the left, otherwise it looks like a giant earring.)

We cut downstairs where Rohan is answering to his mother about the incident in the bedroom. He swears that he didn't do anything, but Jhil doesn't believe him. She demands that he hand over the ball. When he does, she gives it to Radz and tells her to make sure Rohan never sees it again. Jhil then orders Rohan to apologize to Rukma for hitting her with the ball. Rohan swears up and down that he didn't throw it, and that Manish was behind the whole thing.

Jhil is on the verge of losing her patience, and tells him that he absolutely will apologize to her. Rukma looks over from where she's sitting, and we can see she's got a very large bruise on her face. She tells Jhil that Rohan's just a kid, and he doesn't know any better. Jhil disagrees and insists that he make amends. Rohan becomes very upset and repeats that he didn't do anything, then runs up the stairs and into his room.

Virag says that he'll go up and have a word with him, and heads up the steps. We have a few lingering looks of angst from Jhil and of smugness from Rukma as the camera moves around a bit. We also see that Radz has hidden the tennis ball on top of a cabinet near the steps. As we settle on the ball, another DCL rolls in to tease us.

Virag enters Rohan's bedroom and sees a small form huddled under the comforter on the bed. Virag decides to play the "good cop" role, and tries to coax Rohan to come downstairs for some ice cream. When he gets no reply, he says that he can see Junior is very upset. He reassures Rohan that he (Virag) is not angry, and when he's ready to come out and talk about the event, it'll be okay. Virag pats the lump and walks out of the room. When he clears the hallway, we see the bathroom door at the end of the hall open, and out comes Rohan! Rohan goes into his room and sits on the bed with the lump. He addresses the lump as Manish, and tells him that because of his action today, Rohan was scolded. He pulls the blankets off of the shape, and we finally get a look at Manish. He's gray, with dark circles under his eyes, and he looks very pissed off.

Manish's appearance is directly inspired by little Toshio from Ju-On, a Japanese horror movie that was recently remade in the States as The Grudge. See if you can spot the resemblance:
