Robin
appears to have a meeting going in his office when the family arrives. The goon
is tossed into Robin, effectively interrupting the meeting. Grandpa demands to
know why he sent this man to kill Rajesh. Robin says that he actually sent him
to intimidate Raju, not Rajesh. Rajesh takes this opportunity to show just how
liquid his spine and loyalties are, and says that Robin was the mastermind of
this whole thing since Raju was moving in on Sonia. Grandpa tells him that if
Sonia and Raju are in love, there's nothing they can do to stop them.
Robin
tells them that Sonia's out at the mall if Raju wants to see her. He finds her
there but she's mad at him. Apparently he hasn't called in a week (actually,
Robin was preventing these calls) and wants nothing to do with him. She pushes
him away, causing him to trip and fall. On his way to the floor he manages to
take out Sanjay Dutt in his second cameo appearance! Sonia helps Sanjay up and
they begin some flirty dialog. Finally Sonia walks off after spending several
minutes making lots of alluring comments and leaving her card with Sanjay. Raju
takes him aside and explains who she is and how she was trying to make him
jealous. He goes off to win back her heart the only way he knows how - a song!
Let's see if the theme song, "Yeh Hai Jalwa" can melt that icy heart.

With
that crisis resolved, it's time for more family stuff. We find Raju at home
performing a party trick where he claims to be able to "read people's
faces." He starts with Grandpa, and tells us that he's a hard working man
who has earned everything he has. His "credibility" thus established, he
moves on to a protesting Rajesh. After some hemming and hawing, he finally
gets him to sit down. He tells Rajesh that he will be a success, and riches
will lie at his feet. He is also destined to have one daughter and bum
bum bum... two sons! He then takes on a grave tone, and asks to speak
with only Rajesh, for he's seen something serious. Smita and Grandpa tell
him that they have no secrets, and anything he has to say he can say it
right now.
Raju takes a deep breath, and after many many dramatic pauses, he tells them that in Rajesh's lifetime, he's had the love of two women. Naturally Smita's reacts unfavorably to this news. Rajesh asks who she's going to believe, him or Raju. He storms off before she can reply. Raju apologizes for upsetting them, but he was just telling them what he saw in Rajesh's face.
That
night Smita and Rajesh are having an argument. He asks her if she trusts
him, but she brings up the cheating couple from earlier. That man's wife
trusted him, and look where it got her. As they fight, we see Raju peering
in around the doorway, obviously enjoying this. Yes, he definitely loves his
family and wants to be close to them all right. Sheesh.
