To compound the absurdity of this situation, as Smita leaves the room she sees Raju standing with his head in the doorway and just walks past him. (sigh) Raju goes into the room and starts to gloat. There's some weird talk about lullabies, then the scene ends awkwardly. Let's just move along.
The
next morning we see Rajesh getting out of his car at the office. He walks past
his secretary's desk and doesn't immediately notice Raju sitting behind it. We
find out that in order to remove some of her suspicions, Smita has appointed
Raju to be Rajesh's new personal assistant. Smita leaves the two of them alone
and wishes Raju the best. They argue a while about the same stuff they've been
fighting about the whole movie, then Raju goes out to his desk. A fax arrives
from the embassy for the fees to extend Raju's visa. Rajesh takes the fax over
to Robin's place and they decide to try the deporting trick again. They'll just
not pay the fees, his visa will expire, and their problems will be solved.
Right?
Well, as they're tearing up the fax and laughing loudly, they fail to notice Sonia standing within earshot of them, and looking rather confused, angry, and disappointed all at the same time. We have a nice slow motion zoom on her as she contemplates what has just happened.
We
cut to the temple where the family is worshipping. Rajesh is looking agitated
since the cops haven't come yet. Finally they arrive and Rajesh shows them where
Raju is. They explain the situation while Rajesh makes s big show about how much
he'll miss Raju when he's gone. Raju has other plans however. As the family
looks on, out marches Sonia dressed to the nine's. She's got a British passport,
and since they're in love and everything, this seems like a good time to get
married. They go through the wedding ritual right there on the spot, and the
cops leave without arresting Raju.
Rajesh rushes over to Robin's place to tell him what happened. Robin has had a sudden change of attitude though, and no longer supports Rajesh's side. He says that he approves of whom his daughter loves, and he won't hear him being spoken poorly of. Rajesh looks defeated, and we end the scene with a jump cut to the wedding night festivities of Raju and Sonia.
Now in some movies, one might have certain expectations of what happens on a couple's wedding night. This movie is no different. If you were expecting them to celebrate their nuptials with singing and dancing, you are right on the mark! Here's my favorite song of the movie, "Chudi Khankayi Re." There are a few surprisingly risqué lyrics to this one, but you'll have to watch it yourself to get those!

Well it's time we checked in with Vicky again. Been a while since we thought about him, eh? We see the guys who wish to kill him burst into his house and start looking for him. They don't have to go far, since he's right there on the couch in the living room making time with a girl that's noticeably not Rinkie. They threaten him again to pay back the money he owes. Vicky tells them that he's marrying a wealthy businessman's daughter, so money will not be a problem in the near future. He says he'll take them over to meet him for proof. They tell him that he'd best not be lying or else! To illustrate their point, they fire a pistol right next to his head, shattering a bottle on the bar. The ever resilient Vicky suffers surprisingly little hearing damage from this. Man that guy's good!
