The next morning Rajesh is a little slow to rise. Raju wakes him up cheerfully, calling him "Dad" repeatedly. Rajesh doesn't know what he's talking about. Raju tells him how he made a public spectacle of himself last night and claimed him in front of a bunch of people. Rajesh asks if anyone they knew was there, but Raju says no. Rajesh tells him to forget about it then, and to go get ready for the flight back. Raju is disgusted with this treatment, and goes to get his boots on.

As he dresses, he speaks angrily towards his mother. He asks her why she made him aware of what kind of a man his father really was. Rajesh comes in while he's talking and asks what he's doing. Raju has had enough of this and gives him the Big Speech. He tells him that the idea of finding his father alive was wonderful and he thought he'd be welcomed with open arms, but instead all Rajesh thinks is that he's after his money. Raju finally tells him that he's the president and owner of Raj Industries in India, and is in fact already a wealthy man. He's only there to see his family, nothing more. However, now he doesn't even want the family name. He swears he will do his duty as a brother, and afterwards he will never return. The angry version of "Carbon Copy" plays as Raju stalks off in slow motion.

We cut away to Vicky and his "uncles." They're being very happy and generous to Vicky now they know he's marrying money. They talk to him about running their illegitimate business alongside his all over Europe. At that moment, Raju comes in and starts scolding them. He also mentions that he's brought Rajesh and Rinkie along to show them just who she's getting married to. Rajesh is furious and starts punching Vicky in the head. As they struggle, a gunshot is heard. Rajesh steps back and sees he's been shot in the abdomen. The "uncles" and Vicky flee the scene while Rinkie calls for an ambulance.

We see the family rushing to the hospital while Rajesh is taken to the ICU. Raju goes out looking for revenge. Somehow he knows where to find Vicky, despite that location being in the middle of a public square. He tells Vicky that he's going to hand him a nice fresh beating, and proceeds to do so. This fight goes on at some length, and takes place in the middle of a nice grassy area in front of some government buildings with any number of people watching. Oh no, don't worry. The cops are nowhere to be seen.

Back at the hospital the doctors tell the family that both of Rajesh's kidneys have failed. He must have a transplant right away. Grandpa's too old, Smita's the wrong blood type, Rinkie is afraid of how losing a kidney will affect her ability to have babies, and Bunty doesn't want to because he thinks he won't be able to sing and dance on stage as a pop star with only one kidney (what the hell?). The doctor says it has to be from a blood relative, and so far we've ruled out everyone! Or have we...

We have a montage of flashbacks of Raju enjoying his time in England with the family and Sonia. Over all this, the poignant version of "Carbon Copy" plays (damn, that song can do anything!). Finally we see Raju and Rajesh on the operating tables.

The next day Smita and Grandpa catch the doctor in the waiting room. Grandpa says that he's called all of the relatives back in India, and is sure they'll find a donor soon. The doctor tells him that won't be necessary, as a suitable donor has already come forward. Grandpa is very confused about who could have donated it, but the doctor tells him it was done on condition of anonymity, and cannot tell him any more.
