Grandpa
is moved to tears by this news, and the family goes in to see how Rajesh is
doing. Rajesh is already awake and coherent, and proceeds to try and figure out
who was the one that donated the kidney. He makes his way down the list of
people standing there, only to realize what has really happened.
The family goes home and catches Raju as he's leaving the house (noticeably without Sonia, I might add). They are all upset to see him going, but he insists that he must. Rajesh chooses this moment to reveal the big secret to the family, but Raju tries to play it off as a joke. He even says that he just had a matching blood group - he's not really a relative. Rajesh doesn't understand why he's saying this. All along Raju had been hounding him to come clean, but now that he has done so Raju is rejecting it. After some tense moments Raju finally admits the relation and calls Rajesh "Daddy."
Raju
tells them that he came there wanting to wreck the man who ruined his mother,
but after he came to know the family he decided that he couldn't do it. After
realizing this, he decided he was not fit to stay. He tries to get into the car,
but the family stops him. Each of the members offers their own plea for him to
stay. After a moving speech from Grandpa, Raju decides that he will stay after
all.
At that moment Robin pulls up with Sonia, and we have a joyous reunion of the whole cast. With a final little stinger, Raju asks Rajesh if he finally accepts him. Rajesh calls him a scoundrel, then gives him a kiss on the forehead and they laugh. The credits start to roll over the final rendition of... that's right, "Carbon Copy."
